June/July Newsletter
Monthly Update: Howdy, everyone! This is Zoé with our new monthly updates! We participated in several activities this month, including a fishing trip for The Navigators, our monthly service at the Pines, Jackie’s benefit ride, and a private donation to an elderly lady who REALLY wanted an electric fireplace. Just a reminder that the biggest way to help is by AWARENESS. Please share our website, social media pages, and our upcoming events.
Monthly Devotional: In Matthew 25:40, it states, “' And the king will answer them, ‘I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’' Outside the Walls is based upon our mission statement, which is, “See a Need. Meet a Need.” True ministry is sharing the love of God by helping those who are considered “the least of these”. It is not going to church every Sunday, paying tithes, or even volunteering to take the youth on a trip for the summer. Ministry is shown by loving those who are hard to love, helping those who may look different, and supporting the ones who are barely making it day by day. As the old saying goes, “Action speaks louder than words.” To love the least of these means getting uncomfortable and doing more than warming a pew every Sunday morning and voting for the church to buy someone groceries. To love the least of these may mean that we have to be more like Jesus and eat dinner with the sinners. In all reality, as Christians, we are sinners saved by grace.
Funds Update (for June): OSW received a $300 donation. OSW spent $419.74 on The Navigator’s fishing trip, a father’s day gift for one of the Navigators, hot dogs for the Pines, food for Jackie’s ride, and the electric fireplace. Also, $110 was spent on advertisement for Hillbilly Chaplain’s Rally for the Cause.
Upcoming Events:
July 11 - 12th, 2025 — Navigators Camping @ Moon House. Kiddos will arrive at 6:00 p.m.
July 19th, 2025 — Mr. Puckett’s Ride
The Seed of Abraham and OSW riders will head down south to visit Mr. Puckett. Contact Clint for more info.
August 2nd, 2025— The Navigators/Royal Pines Service
Check GroupMe for Navigators info. At 5:00 p.m., OSW will be at The Pines serving Boston butts and chicken for the residents. A worship service will follow afterwards.
August 9th, 2025— OSW Outside Service @ Moon House
Exciting news! We are bringing back our outside services! Our first one will be on August 9th at 9:00 a.m. Biscuits will be served! Bring a chair!
